Vinted Aftercare Guide

Boost your Vinted sales in the coming weeks

Now that your items are live and ready to be discovered, a few simple actions over the next couple of weeks can help boost visibility and increase your chances of making quick, confident sales.

These tips are based on years of successful selling and are designed to help you get the best results from the listings created for you. They focus on simple, effective tweaks that keep your account active and your shop visible to as many potential buyers as possible.

1. Respond in a timely manner

  • Reply to offers and messages as quickly as possible, buyers are often ready to purchase immediately and may change their mind or order from someone else if there's a large delay.

  • Listings are priced slightly above your ideal price to leave room for offers (e.g., £25 listing aimed at a £20 offer) → Consider: Would I accept £18? Flexibility helps.

  • You can accept multiple offers, but only the first to check out will get the item.
I wouldn’t recommend reserving items for people, there might be someone ready to buy now.

2. Questions & Bundles

  • People may still reach out with questions, even though I’ve aimed to cover as much as possible in your listings.

  • Always be truthful; if there’s an issue that wasn’t mentioned, the buyer could make a claim. If you don’t know the answer, tell them, honesty builds trust and reduces the chance of returns.

  • Keep replies friendly, polite, and short, buyers feel more confident when communication is clear.

  • You will find 'Bundle discounts' in your setting and can decide how much of a discount someone receives if they order multiple items from your shop.

  • Bundles help clear more items in one go and increase your sale value per transaction.

  • To make the most of bundles: Mention in messages that you offer bundle deals if someone is looking at more than one item.

3. Ship Smart

  • You have 7 days to ship once an item sells, try to send it as soon as possible to gain positive reviews, but don't put yourself out too much.

  • Disable courier options that aren’t local or convenient to travelling long distances to ship.

  • Screenshot QR codes for your shipping labels so you can access them quickly at drop-off without searching through emails or Vinted.

  • Clearly label packages with the customer’s name and courier service to avoid mix-ups, especially if you’re sending multiple parcels.

  • Keep a dedicated shipping station or box with packing supplies (tape, labels, scissors) ready to save time.

4. Boost Visibility

  • Use Spotlight Your Wardrobe (paid feature) to promote your entire shop and attract more buyers. You will find this option in your settings.

  • Use item bumps (paid) strategically for high-value items to give them extra exposure.

  • If items aren’t selling after 2–4 weeks: Try lowering the price, people who favourited your item will be notified of the change.

  • Refresh your listing by reordering photos or tweaking the title to catch more attention.

  • Regularly listing new items helps boost your shop’s position in the algorithm and keeps buyers engaged.

  • Consider how long you want to keep items listed, if they aren’t selling after a couple of months, it might be time to donate and reclaim your space.

5. Feedback & Payouts

  • Feedback is automatic if a customer does not leave you a review, but positive written reviews from buyers help build trust and improve your future sales.

  • You can view your balance and withdraw money from your profile once a sale is complete. I recommend withdrawing your funds regularly, your money is safer in your bank account than sitting in your Vinted account.

  • Keep going! Each sale is one step closer to a lighter, clearer space.
