Decluttering & Organising Your Kitchen and Pantry at Neptune Chichester

At the end of April, I had the absolute pleasure of speaking at Neptune Chichester, a space I’ve long admired for its beautifully designed interiors and calm, welcoming atmosphere. It was the perfect setting to talk all things decluttering and organising, especially in the kitchen and pantry.

Why Neptune?

After visiting Neptune and falling in love with the space, I reached out to their team with an idea. I knew that many of their customers had invested in gorgeous, high-quality kitchens, but perhaps no one had spoken to them about how to keep these spaces working beautifully day-to-day. I wanted to offer something practical, inspiring, and useful: a conversation about how to actually live in those dream kitchens, without clutter building up and causing daily overwhelm.

A Warm, Interactive Session

The event was small and intimate, just eight attendees, which made for a really lovely, calm atmosphere. The room was filled with a mix of Neptune customers and local guests, all eager to learn how to make their spaces work better for them.

I wanted the talk to feel relaxed and collaborative, not like a lecture, and it really was! We had honest conversations, laughter, and lots of shared stories. It was a safe, non-judgemental space, and everyone was encouraged to ask questions throughout.

What We Covered

The talk focused on how to declutter and organise your kitchen and pantry, but we covered so much more, including:

  • How to work with tricky or awkward storage spaces

  • The benefits of decanting and labelling (plus when not to do it!)

  • Choosing the right storage solutions

  • Decluttering styles based on personality types

  • Real-life kitchen mistakes I see often, and how I fix them

  • Questions to ask yourself when decluttering

  • A practical Q&A session with tailored advice

We also walked through Neptune’s display kitchens so I could physically demonstrate the tips I was sharing, opening cupboards, pointing out layout ideas, and explaining the thinking behind good kitchen flow.

The Response

It was interesting to hear guests open up about their own challenges, whether it was how to get a partner on board with decluttering, or managing a home where one person is minimalist and the other isn’t. We had some great conversations, and I could see people walking away feeling lighter and more confident in where to begin.

Everyone left with a free worksheet — 10 Questions to Ask Yourself When Decluttering, along with new ideas they could take home and put into action.

What’s Next?

I’m already in conversations to return to Neptune Chichester for another talk, this time focusing on wardrobes, utility rooms, and other hardworking spaces in the home. I love delivering these sessions, they combine my passion for education with real, practical support that people can use straight away.

Are you looking for a speaker? Whether it’s a lifestyle brand, workplace wellness event or community group, I’d love to hear from you.
